Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (Brownfield)
Resolution No. 27, April 28, 1981, authorized the establishment of an Authority for the Fort Custer Industrial Park District. The Battle Creek Brownfield Redevelopment Authority By-laws Article II, Section 2, states the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority Board shall consist of those same persons appointed by the City of Battle Creek to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Battle Creek Tax Increment Finance Authority.
The Brownfield Redevelopment Authority budget and board of up to 13 members are subject to approval by the Battle Creek City Commission. The Brownfield is managed by Battle Creek Unlimited.
