The Position: The Facilities Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing maintenance services for all Battle Creek Unlimited (BCU) and Battle Creek Tax Increment Finance Authority (BCTIFA) owned facilities and properties, i.e. the Customs Cargo Center, from time to time downtown properties, and vacant land parcels. Assists with the beautification efforts (including picking up trash) in the Fort Custer Industrial Park (FCIP) to maintain the proper appearance according to the FCIP Park Covenants. Ensures all facilities and grounds are constantly maintained in a safe and clean condition. Helps to develop preventative maintenance procedures and coordinates outside contractors as needed. Also, this role is the point of contact for after-hour emergencies.
Candidate: Our ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated team player, well-organized, detailed-oriented, personable, with the desire and excitement to advance the goals of the organization.
Qualifications: Three (3) years or more in a leadership role with oversight of building maintenance required. High school diploma or GED required. Wide knowledgebase that encompasses multiple trades, such as plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and/or mechanical. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment; communicate effectively; handle routine maintenance/repairs; use tools; and read blueprints. Demonstrate a high level of self-direction to achieve results. Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and unpredictable weather conditions. Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
Pay Range: $50,000-$60,000 commensurate with experience. We offer exceptional benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, paid sick time and a generous 401K package. Desired residency established in the City of Battle Creek within six months of hire. Relocation packages offered.
