LEGACY SCHOLARS

Legacy Scholars is an initiative developed as part of the W.K Kellogg Foundation’s 75th Anniversary. The W.K. Kellogg Foundation established a $4 million endowment to help support post-secondary educational attainment for Battle Creek area youth. This program supports students attending Battle Creek Public Schools, Lakeview School District, and eligible students from Calhoun Community High School, by providing college and career opportunities, as well as the Legacy Scholarship: a last-dollar scholarship to Kellogg Community College for up to two years of tuition (62 credit hours), mandatory fees, and a book stipend. The Regional Manufacturing Technology Center is operated by Kellogg Community College, and offers just-in-time training in ten industrial skilled trades programs. An open-entry/open-exit enrollment option allows students to enroll at their capability level, and attend during whatever hours they find convenient. Internet-based learning supplements the on-site academic program for those who wish instruction at home or in the workplace.
 
Customized training will be designed to your specifications if none of the current programs meet your needs.
